The editors of Bits&Chips and High-Tech Systems magazine are looking for a new colleague, preferably someone to further diversify our team. Next to writing content for our online and offline platforms, you also have the chance to create podcasts and video productions.

Bits&Chips and High-Tech Systems magazine are trade and opinion publications targeting the Dutch high-tech industry. Readers are technical developers as well as team leaders and decision-makers.
Responsibilities
- Writing articles about recent developments or trends in high tech
- Writing profiles of high-tech companies and/or figureheads
- (Optionally) creating podcasts and video productions or assisting in the creation thereof
- This content is based on (online/real-life) interviews with relevant actors, both from industry and academics, visits to high-tech events and/or independent research
- Maintaining and regularly consulting a network of contacts in high tech
- Extending our target audience to include young professionals
Qualifications
- You have a bachelor’s or master’s degree in science and/or technology.
- You have an affinity for writing and storytelling.
- You’re able to explain complicated stuff in an accessible way, or you want to learn this quickly.
- You can work with deadlines.
- You’re quirky and have an independent but open mind.
- You can formulate and substantiate your original views, but you’re also willing to listen to sound argument.
- You’re not afraid to ask questions and challenge authorities.
- You’re proficient in the Dutch and English language.
- You like to create multimedia content.
We offer
A full-time or part-time position, based in Nijmegen with possibility to work hybrid. We offer a temporary contract at first, after which permanent employment is possible. Salary: € 2,700 – € 3,400 per month (based on full-time employment of 36 hours), excluding vacation allowance.

Techwatch is a small publisher for the high-tech industry. With our titles Bits&Chips and High-Tech Systems Magazine, we offer an (online) platform with the latest news and trends in the industry. We also organize theme days, conferences and webinars. The team is small and dynamic and we are based in Nijmegen.
